Scout Uses CPR Skills To Save Grandfather

If only more people were as prepared as William Wright.

The 15-year-old Scout from Austin, Texas, was studying in his room one night when he heard his mother screaming for help. William ran out and found his 83-year-old father lying on floor. His heart had stopped.

William began performing CPR. After 10-15 minutes, he finally felt a pulse.

Paramedics arrived and took over from there. William’s grandfather survived.

“I would have done what anyone would have done,” Will told KXAN news. “Lots of Boy Scouts in America would have done the same thing.”
