Time To Register For The 2015 World Scout Jamboree

The World Scout Jamboree is kind of like the Olympics: It only comes around every four years, and you don’t want to miss it.

But unlike the Olympics, you don’t have to be a world-class athlete to represent your country. The BSA is accepting registrations for its contingent right now.

The 2015 World Scout Jamboree is scheduled for July 28-August 8, 2015, in the city of Yamaguchi, Japan. The BSA’s youth contingent is open to any registered member of the BSA between the ages of 14 and 17. Venturers ages 18 to 20 can attend as part of the International Service Team or as third assistant leaders.

The World Scout Jamboree program looks amazing. Modules include a nature education center, the Global Development Village, the City of Science, aquatic activities, a day of community service, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Hiroshima and learn about the atomic bombings that occurred during the final stages of World War II.
