Welding Badge Earners Get Extra Bonus

We already know that the Welding merit badge is taking off in a big way.

Now there’s another reason to earn your badge this month. The American Welding Society is donating 50 student memberships to Boy Scouts who earn their Welding badge in April 2012.

AWS student members get monthly issues of the online magazine Welding Journal, discounts on American Welder gear and much, much more.

To enter the AWS membership giveaway, first you must earn your Welding merit badge before the end of this month. Next, fill out the AWS application and either mail it in, or scan it and email it to merit.badge@scouting.org, or fax it to 972-580-2174. Include your Welding merit badge blue card signed and dated within April 1-30, 2012.

Winners will be randomly selected on May 1, 2012.

Registered Boy Scouts up to age 17 at the time of their entry are eligible.
