Messengers of Peace

All over the world, Scouts are working for peace by working on projects that strive to solve conflicts in their schools, build links between divided communities, teach their peers about health and wellness and repair environmental damage.

To recognize these efforts, the World Scout Committee has launched the Messengers of Peace initiative.

To join the movement, go online through the Journey to Excellence service hours website and register your project (including Eagle Scout projects). Doing this adds pins to a global Messengers of Peace map, which Scouts from around the world can click on to learn how their fellow Scouts are making a difference.

  • YOUR UNIT’S OUTING PLANS?

Is your unit going on a great fishing trip? Or maybe you’re taking an awesome trek in the mountains or a cool dive under the sea? Whatever your adventure, Boys’ Life might want to tag along.

We’re deciding which Super Scouting Outings to feature in future issues, and your trip could be next. But we need to hear about it as far in advance as possible.
