Scouting Around

New Facebook Page For BSA Heroism Award Recipients

Over a span of 90 years, the BSA awarded more than 3,500 Heroism Awards to youths and Scout leaders who demonstrated heroism and skill in saving or attempting to save someone else’s life, before that award was discontinued at the end of last year.

That’s a pretty cool club.

Now, there’s a (virtual) place for those guys to meet and greet each other: the new Be Prepared: BSA Heroism Award Recipients Facebook page.

Even if you haven’t earned an H.A., go check it out and thank those guys for their courage.

  • YOUR UNIT’S OUTING PLANS?

Is your unit going on a great fishing trip? Or maybe you’re taking an awesome trek in the mountains or a cool dive under the sea? Whatever your adventure, Boys’ Life might want to tag along.

We’re deciding which Super Scouting Outings to feature in future issues, and your trip could be next. But we need to hear about it as far in advance as possible.
