Adventure Base 100

Stop 23: Chattanooga, Tenn.

This week, Adventure Base 100 splashes into Chattanooga, Tenn., an “outdoor mecca” full of fun opportunities for Scouts and Scouters.

AB 100 is visiting during the nine-day Riverbend Festival, which draws up to 100,000 visitors a day. That means thousands of prospective Scouts will be exposed to the exciting opportunities that young people can enjoy as part of the Scouting program.

One of those high-adventure thrills is whitewater rafting, and it happens right in the back yard of Tennessee residents.

In the video, you’ll be taken along as Scouts head down the Ocoee River, which features some Class IV rapids. Boys who live in the area use that river as their classroom for the Whitewater merit badge. Check it out!
