1966 Peel Trident
The Peel Engineering Company’s Trident produced little power and a lot of noise. Built on a tiny island between England and Ireland, the three-wheeled Trident stretched only 4 feet 2 inches in length. The interior included two seats covered in a large plastic dome, under which passengers would cook on sunny days. The pull-start Trident never caught on as a popular way to get around, and only 45 were ever assembled.
puny little spaceship!
It looks like a car the Jetsons would have.
i can’t believe they chose this over the peel p50! for those of you who don’t know, the peel p50 is the smallest car to ever go into mass production. it’s even smaller than the trident you see now and can’t go into reverse, so you have to get out and pull backwards whenever you have to. google the peel p50 to see what it actually looks like
indeed
i hear that they had a convertible version you just break the windows then you buy new windows.
erm its completely impractical and my dad has had 2 1971 triple black RT chargers and they only made like 48 of them[i spared me and you on the actual name of it cause its really long]
a rat could drive that
i am taller then its long… i could put my feet at the end and hug the back
it takes a three year old to drive that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
too small for anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey o its l !!!!!!!
UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 wheeler
ulgy
ummmm whats this thing again?
Peel Trident vs. Dump Truck. Who’s gonna get squashed?
Look out! ‘Its the Jetsons!’ (and inst Trident a gum?)
It’s the Popemobile!
I’ve never ssen a car this bad in my life. Literally.
Sorry it was supposed to be “seen”.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Alien invaders from outer space, wait. that’s just a freaking UGLY car. C4 please.

Love all the comments, but with this car now worth over six figures if you could find one it sounds like the car to own!
It’s probably got a lawn mower engine under the hood.
Wait what hood? 🙂
it looks like a spaceship that someone slapped wheels onto…
I could probably tip it over!
OMG What is this, a ugly, three wheeled prototype of a buggy?
it looks nothing like that
is that thing a clown car?
That car is just plain ugly
Who was the crazy person who invented that thing!?!
if that was in a monster truck derby that thing would get owned!!!!!!!!!!!! like totally the only thin left would be the well actuly nothing
haha
what if you crash that thing would like never make it and where are the back wheels!!!!!!!!!!!
Top Gear loves the new, blue, version of the Peel P50.
looks like a kids toy
Two words weird and ugly
that is three words
OMG get the boulder we have a car to smash.
How do they get out?
they break the dome. the thing is so cheap that it cost $0.10 to fix
This is officially the current version of the Pedro Pod.
Say ‘ello!
At last! The long lost relative of the Pedro Pod, has surfaced in a garage near (Where you Aren’t.)
Reminds myself of a submarine/pea.
where’s the doors?!?!?
the front of it was the door i think.
The body lifts up and you get in.
They should use this car in one of those commercials where the hamsters drive the car
i agree with you, ohhh yeahhh
Looks like an alien’s spaceship.
Oh gosh that’s even worst then the reliant robin!
It looks like you could go to the depths of the ocean with that. it looks like a tiny submarine!
I wonder if they roasted hot dogs under the roof on sunny days.
The Peel Trident. It’s not an oven, but it’s red hot! (Ha ha.)
It’s a pull start like a lawn mower….. it’s on a mowed lawn…… IT”S A LAWN MOWER!!!!!
I saw one at Ripley’s(c) in Myrtle Beach! (c)= Trademark. It was right outside.
If it made less noise, had more power, the dome roof had a normal covering, it had good millage, four wheels, was slightly bigger had a back seat with enough room to carry a couple bags with four people in it, there is a chance this car would be slightly cool… and even then it would have to be at a good price to get the attention of people.
@ pokefreak6464
So basically if they got rid of it and made an entirely new car.
On my way home from the movies, I saw a car called the Yoga with EVERYTHING that you desribed. (No joke!) It was red and black. Does anyone have any info about it?
did aliens design this or something?
66 peel trident+ semi=crunch
oh gosh.
This car is the BEST!!
I would love to go gokarting in one of these
What’s the point in owning a Peel Trident? It could make you peel.
wow this car looks like a huge bubble about to burst and imagine how much that windshield would be to find now if u were a collector
