Once, on a camping trip one of the patrols decided to put cool aid in their pancakes. The pancakes were a mess and came out red! Pancakes on a camping trip have now been banned in my troop!

It’s important to add the ham and cheese to the wet batter once you pour it into the pan, so it melts and cooks in the pancake. You can drizzle a little more batter on top of the cheese and ham or just let it slowly ooze in and flip it like a regular pancake. It turns out perfectly. Serve with syrup just like regular pancakes. It’s brilliant.
