Splatoon Game Tips

Any tips for Splatoon?

Games Guru: Here’s a few helpful tips.

• Splatter everywhere. Only ink sprayed on the ground — not the walls — counts toward your team’s point total during a Turf War. So make a mess!

• Special weapons. Keep spraying ink to build up your meter. Once full, click the right Control Stick to activate your special weapon for a limited time. This can have a devastating result on your enemies.

• Swim up walls. Spraying ink on walls and other surfaces allows you to access vantage points that otherwise would be impossible to reach. Transform into a squid to climb straight up inked walls.

• Go invisible. You’re invisible while you’re submerged in your ink as a squid and remain motionless. Pop out of the ink to surprise your foes.

• Customize your Inkling with different weapons, clothing, headgear and shoes. You’ll get lots of unique gameplay perks.

• Instantly transport. Tap on your teammates on the GamePad touch screen to instantly move to their position. This powerful tool gets you back into the action quickly!

    Teloport with the rainmaker

  3. There IS a way for Turf War (and just about every round type) to be funny, keep pressing L to kid-squid, my friends and I came up with it. You obviously go faster as well 🙂

  4. If your playing Rainmaker rounds, stay at base, it will be just as good as going out, but with less problems.

  5. Do the single player campaigns and get all the sunken scrolls (the ones found in boss stages.) They will unlock better weapons like the octo-brush. Also try to support your team mates in ranked battles. For example try to have a delivery party of three inklings during the rainmaker battle (one with the rainmaker and two guarding the one with it) and have the other one either guarding your base or have them on a mission to take the enemy base.

Ink the back part of the spawn platform. Every splatter counts in the final results! (except wall ink)

Push ANY buttons. They might be bonus packs. But watch out for trick ones. They deplete health.

Same guy. Buttons are SUPER rare, so look for them on walls. They glow, so there hard to miss. I’m an expert on Splatoon, and I’ve only seen 5 before. That’s how I know what they do.

Here’s a great tip for Splat Zones! When your team capped the zone fully, defend the zone from OUTSIDE the Splat Zone (s). If you get splatted from inside the zone, your explosion will help the opposing team claim the zone, so staying out of the zone can help your team alot!
