Are there any other unlockable characters besides Luigi? On the touchscreen in my instruction booklet, it shows the worlds but on the actual touchscreen the worlds look different. Why is this?
Games Guru: Unfortunately, Luigi is the only unlockable character in the game. Regarding the difference between the booklet and the actual touchscreen worlds, sometimes the people who make the booklet get an earlier version of the game design document. They should have gotten one that looks like the real thing. But sometimes when deadlines are tight, some things fall through the cracks.
Are there any cheats or hidden characters?
Games Guru: I have not tried this myself, but as I understand it, if you press and hold the L and R shoulder buttons down and choose one of your saved game files on the select file screen, you can play as Luigi.

g man 55, here’s how you get to World 1-Cannon. You go to World 1-Fortress as Shell Mario, and you go through the door (NOT THE DOOR LEADING TO BOWSER JUNIOR!). You’ll be in a room with the 2nd Star Coin and constanly shifting platforms. Go to the right part of the room where there’s a large gap. Go through it to get to another room. Use the Shell Dash to break through the bricks. Finally, go through the pipe and you’ll see the secret exit.

there is no world 9 in the ds version and the mystery wallpaper is unlocked when you open ALL the toad houses.

To get to the big castle you have to beat every level of that world.

When you go to the file selection screen, hold L and R. then, select a file and you should hear “Luigi!”

Secret wallpaper? There are multiple secret wallpapers. Just beat world 8 (including final boss) and go to world 1. A blue mushroom house should appear near the first level. You can buy wallpapers with star coins there.
There is only one secret wallpaper, KirbyPro6.

Bowserdiehard means go on the file select screen, hold down L and R, select a file while still holding down L and R, and you will hear a voice say “Luigi!”
At the end of the game you can by wallpaper. Beat Bowser and Bowser Jr. first.
(Believe it or not I beat them with a mini mushroom).
