    • TC says:

I 2 am doing it for the signaling MB. I absolutely hate it, but it does help…after a couple of hours, u see progress. Kinda boring, but again, it helps. Worth ur while, if you want to learn.

  13. may man says:

    The tests are hard!

  14. Mike says:

Its a great start to really master Morse Code! Just wish they would have added “Space”

  15. second scout says:

all numbers have 5 charaters; 1:.—- 2:..— ect.

  16. aPanzerIV says:

Really cool, helped me get the signaling merit badge, via the 2010 sentimental merit badges…

    THX!!!

  17. Anonymous says:

Managed to learn morse code in under an hour with this. Cheers.

  18. GOF says:

It will sound more like real Morse code if you would change the frequency of the sound to 750-800 Mhz.

Listen to the samples here to get an idea of code being sent at 7.5 wpm (the code character is sent at a speed of 18-20 wpm, but slowed down to a message speed of 7.5 wpm — this is called the Fransworth method), which is the speed requirement for sending in the new “Signalling” merit badge.

  19. Mike says:

The tone used for code is also weird. Listen to some code (cw) on the radio and adjust your tone to make it more authentic.

  20. Mike says:

The program is wrong. “..—” is not three. Three is “…–”

Pretty bad when the person programming things gets it wrong.

    • TC says:

I found something. If u get a ..— in test 1, do 3 (…–), then from there on, it is back to 2 as the answer.

  21. Andy says:

    It’s a good game.

  22. Andy says:

I lost. I never won! But someday I will win.

  23. ashlynbug says:

    i dont get it

  24. KDoG says:

It is messed up…in test one it gives you ..— and it says that it is “3″ when it is really “2″.

  25. Tom says:

    Fun but tricky.

  26. Anonymous says:

    Wish I could download it

  27. Hope varty says:

    Fun**

  28. beatle11 says:

This is excellent practice, and a fun little app! Thank you!

It would be even better if there were some way to turn off the numbers and just test for letters (and even whole words) – the numbers occur too frequently and are tedious to repeat. But otherwise this was very helpful!

  29. Third Mate says:

I think this is a great tool since it has been so long since i had to know morse code! Now I can upgrade to second mate no problem! Thanks for the game!

  30. tiger lilly says:

  34. joejoeman says:

    hard

  35. joebob67 says:

its cool, but it wont help me learn morse

  36. bob says:

this is great. i have almost memorized it.

  37. JerseyJim says:

As many people pointed out, the code that comes out ..— is number 2 and it sometimes thinks its number 3. Also, it would be nice if you could change the speed parameters and let it put out random letters at various speeds so you could improve your copying speed.

  38. Dumdiddy says:

I cant wait to learn morse code so I can get a Ham radio licence! :)

  39. anon says:

The element lengths and spacing are horrible!

  40. CadillacArt says:

Had a real tough time with code as a Boy Scout years ago (never did get it!) but this is a fun way for an “old” guy to learn it. I will be on the air as soon as I finish building my MFJ Cub kit.
