I collect patches. Most are from Scouts but I also have them from the Alamo, National War Museum of the Pacific and NASA Houston, to where we evacuated because of Hurricane Katrina.
That’s the Boy Scout patch collecting and trading rule: Adults trade with adults, youth trade with youth. If your patch collection extends to collecting Order of the Arrow Lodge Flap patches, the Order of the Arrow actually circulates a book as to the rarity of the Order of the Arrow Lodge Flap patch (such as a member of the Lodge only will receive a Lodge Flap designated as “one per life or two per life”. Some Order of the Arrow Lodges have their “traditional lodge flap and tradable lodge flap”. Almost every Boy Scout Council located in the United States including the Trans-Atlantic Council has an Order of the Arrow Lodge organization associated with it. The Trans-Atlantic Council’s Order of the Arrow Lodge is the Black Eagle Lodge.
I collect everything that has to do with boy scouting including foreign patches. You can find their value on ebay.com or just email me for info but not camporee patches!!! some are worth a lot others are junk, just too many too keep track of value. patches should have significence, and be tradeable. also you can make friends by trading csp’s and then writing on back about friend and then keeping in touch with them. try learning from about patches from adult collectors. DON’T swap, sell, buy from adults because you might be cheated off in value, even if they are willing to pay you $75 (which is a lot!!!) and then it turns out to be worth $125. It’s reccomended to only buy patces as keepsakes not for value. I’ll be posting more in a few days.
I have a few patches that are only available in my area, How can I build my collection?

I also collect patches. They are a lot of fun and help you remember the places you’ve visited.
Whenever we go camping for vacation, I collect a patch from every place we stop at. My collection includes about 20 patches right now.
