  5. writer says:

My son received a copyright 1964, 1971 printing that has the cover of While the Click Ticked, but the book inside is The Secret of the Caves. There’s no dust jacket, and there is some moderate wear on the edges of the cover. I’ve always heard printing errors like this can increase the value of stamps, money, etc., but didn’t know if there was a market for a Hardy Boys book with the wrong cover?

I am a collector too. I counted just a few weeks ago and have 422 books, all different titles. I am finally down to getting just the new graphic novels, which admittedly aren’t by Dixon and aren’t my favorites, but I want the whole collection. Did you know there is a new kids’ version coming out this spring?

Ebay is the greatest source for Hardy Boys books. I have collected the first 40 tan cloth bound books. The remainder of the 58 book series are the colored cardboard cover versions. The Hardy Boys become addictive.

I was wondering if you could give me some insight on the five hardback books I found in the attic of a house I bought. There were five of them Edition 7,22,5,33, and 8. I was wondering if their worth anything.

I collected Hardy Boy books from the 60s and found some earlier ones too when I was growing up. My mother made me throw them out, but I saved one = the first book in the series. My favorite was the special edition for detectives.
