To keep your neckerchief slide from falling off on the go, wrap a rubber band around the middle of the neckerchief below the slide. The rubber band will stop it from coming off.

I used the idea on threaded both ends through the slide, then again one at a time…. it works wonders! No more lost slides! And, its not really a knot tied in the N/C, so it can’t really be forbidden.
you can make a n/c slide using to things clay and tiet plastick ring. you can make an eagol for exampol out of clay and hot or supur gluet to plastick ring. It will look good and stay good on youre n/c plus you don’t run inthe uniform?
The first day I wore my neckerchief, the slide slipped off and got lost. We found it and decided more security was needed. Now I slide the ends through the neckerchief slide twice (first together, then individually). It will be impossible to slide off accidentally and the ends will be even.
Another way is to put the slide on the usual way then run one end of the scarf back through the slide again. It keeps it from slipping off, cant be seen, and if you pull the other end out first the slide stays on the n/c so you don’t lose it.
Good idea! I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m going to tell the trop leader of my scout group about it and maybe we can all try it as a group! Thanks for the idea!
besides, making a knot on the n/c is FORBIDDEN UNLESS your troop agrees on it because the slip knot represents a good turn daily. so either tighten the slide or tough luck! see my REAL comments at collecting articles for patches/scouts/knives/bandannas/turtles/etc… BY “Jewish Scout” or “Kosher Scout”. you can ask ANY question about scouting and/or memorabilia, and i’ll answer it.
Slide your woggle (neckerchief slide) high enough so you’re not quite choked by it, then tie a knot in your neckerchief. Slide the woggle back down, and voilĂ ! This is also FREE!
It is a handy thing to do and I have also invented my own way to make it not fall off. I use a rubber lego tire and my slide to stop mine. It also expresses what I LOVE to do, build legos.
Cool idea
Push in the back of your slide

need to find directions on how to make a slide.
glue a ring of plastic inside the slide (woggle ) to make it tighter
nice.
You could tie a knot in your neckerchief and put your slide on theknot .it cant be seen ,works well.

You can also take a pliers and tighten your neckerchief

I just wrap a rubber band around my tie. Then it won’t slide down.
thanks!

That’s a great idea, Christian! What I do is put a saftey pin on my neckercheif/slide to hold them together. P.S. I’ll have to remember that tip.
