Using the canning rings in a pinch is a good idea, remember to use thim with the litle lip ON TOP.

Small Salmon or pineapple “flat” cans work well IF they you can remove BOTH top & bottom

Canning rings are good to cook with, but I prefer to use a stove, or maybe a fire.

    What’s a canning ring?

  5. Rick says:

If you would like a handle on the tuna can, Do not cut the lid all the way off, Bend lid up and fold cut edges together. Makes a good cup or cooking pot.

  6. Campingkid says:

You can make perfecly shaped egg patties for egg breakfast sandwiches. Pour 1 whipped egg into an empty (and cleaned!) tuna can and put it onto the stove/grill/burner.

does it need 2 be HOT?

  8. prcrimm says:

I’ve done this. Need to use pam or some other no stick agent or the eggs will stick to the rings. The grease in the pan does not seem to help.
