NASA has discovered a massive new ring around the sixth planet from the sun. The Spitzer Space Telescope used infrared rays to detect this never-before-seen ring, which is Saturn’s largest. The ring consists of a “thin array of ice and dust particles at the far reaches of the Saturnian system.” This newly discovered ring is tilted 27 degrees from the planet’s main rings.
