The Tesla Roadster took a spin through the Australian outback during the 10th annual Global Green Challenge, and the electric car set a new range record in the process. The vehicle churned out 313 miles (501 kilometers) on just one charge, rolling across the finish line with three miles left on the battery.
Tesla claims a one-charge range of 244 miles.
