What started as an idea for a website to show people how real food is made has now attracted more than 1 million viewers to share in the slow process of cheese ripening.
The star of the www.cheddarvision.tv is a large piece of English cheddar cheese that was placed in front of a web cam in late December.
It takes a year for the cheese to mature so there’s no need to get in a hurry. The site has had viewers from 119 countries that are very anxious to sit and stare…and sit and stare some more.
