Moose moms use humans shields

To protect their newborns from bears, pregnant moose in Yellowstone National Park are moving closer to paved roads to give birth.

Brown bears prey on moose calves, but they tend to shy away from humans. According to researchers, moose have discovered that they can protect their calves by staying close to traffic. Over the last 10 years, they have moved an average of 400 feet closer to roads to give birth.

    That’s funny. 400ft closer to traffic to avoid bears from killing them. Those moose are pretty smart. :mrgreen:
