The last installment in the U.S. Mint’s 50 State Quarters Program made its debut Tuesday at the United States mint in Denver, Colo. The Hawaii commemorative quarter brings a close to the 10-year series.
On the back of the coin is a picture of King Kamehameha stretching his hand toward the eight Hawaiian Islands. Words in a Hawaiian language are also shown. They translate as “The Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness.”
The Hawaii quarter will go into circulation on Nov. 3.
