Whale Washes Ashore
A blue whale washed ashore in Northern California this week, a rare occurrence according to experts. Officials believe a ship struck the 70-foot female. The whale was found dead Monday night near Fort Bragg in Mendocino County.
Blue whales are the world’s largest mammals.
