Meadow, a yearling Black Angus, suffered a severe case of frostbite months ago. Today, the New Mexico calf is getting around on prosthetic hind legs. Doctors at Colorado State University amputated parts of her hind legs in August and fitted the calf for the “new” legs.
Meadow is believed to be the first bovine calf to undergo the double prosthetic hind leg surgery.
