Asteroids Collide
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has found an unusual X-shaped debris field, which experts think appeared after two asteroids collided head-on. Astronomers have long believed such collisions occur, but this is the first time one has been seen.
The strange pattern was first observed Jan. 6.
