Students at a Pennsylvania High School received their yearbooks only to find a number of names had been changed by a computer spell-checker.
Some of the new names weren’t entirely flattering.
Middletown Area High’s yearbook listed Max Zupanovic as “Max Supernova”, Kathy Carbaugh as “Kathy Airbag” and Alessandra Ippolito as “Alessandra Impolite.” Four pages of the yearbook were marred by such errors.
A spokesperson for Taylor Publishing — the company at fault — says this is a typical problem that happens to a number of schools each year.
