Giraffe Helps Animals Escape
A feisty giraffe helped a number of other animals escape from a Dutch circus on Monday. When a giraffe kicked a hole in a cage, 15 camels, two zebras and an unspecified number of llamas and pigs headed out into the streets.
The animals wandered through a neighborhood for several hours. Police and circus workers were able to round them up and return them to the circus by Monday afternoon.
The animals were tame, and no one was hurt.
