Dear Editor of Boys’ Life magazine:
I am a boy scout of troop 16 Charlotte, NC. I am working on my communications merit badge. That is the reason why I am writing to you. I don’t have too much to say but I do have some important characters.
First off I enjoy the Boys’ Life magazines and I think that they are very helpful and have good stories. Although, I also think that there should be a little more cartoons and maybe a little less adds. I do like reading the different stories in the Boys’ Life magazine, but I think that there should be a section on merit badges. You could have a different merit badge each magazine! You could go over some requirements; state some facts, and most importantly you could offer advice about each merit badge like so helpful hints.
Again there aren’t as many words in this letter as most but there are many important characters in the letter. I hope that you will use some of my ideas and if not that’s of! I look forward to seeing the new Boys’ Life magazines!

Sincerely,
Stephen H. Grier
