Dad keeps pressuring me to earn merit badges


Dear Pedro, I’m only 13, but my dad keeps pressuring me to earn merit badges required for the Eagle Award right away. I know I shouldn’t wait until the last second, but is it really necessary when I have five years left? I mean, it would be nice to earn Eagle palms, but I have a lot of time. What do you think?

Talking about work makes me sleepy, Sam. Keep plugging away at your goal, and you’ll reach it. The main thing is to have a great Scouting experience.
