How is Scouts in Action chosen?


Dear Pedro, “A True Story of Scouts in Action” is the first thing I flip to in the magazine. How are the awards determined? Where are most of the stories from? Are Cub Scout ever in S.I.A.?

Awards are given based on the level of risk and Scout skill shown in the deeds.  Xander. The stories are from all over the country, and Cub Scouts earn the awards (as do Boy Scouts, Venturers and adult volunteers).
