Have until 2068 to earn Eagle?

Dear Pedro, The Boy Scout Handbook says that I have until my 18th birthday to achieve the Eagle rank. However, I was born on Leap Day, February 29th, and have only had three birthdays so far. Does that mean I have until 2068 to complete my work toward Eagle, since that will be my 18th birthday?

Nice try, B. J., but it’s years you’ve been living, not birthdays you’ve celebrated. I doubt if you’ll be finishing high school in 2068.
