Different summer camps

Dear Pedro, I’ve been wondering about different summer camps, but instead of learning things from a bunch of reporters I would like to hear from my fellow Scouts — things like food and activities.
– William S., Hardy, Ark.

OK, fellow Scouts, help William out. Send in stuff on your camps to me and we’ll talk about them in the e-bag.

I attend camp Manatoc in Peninsula OH we as a troop of 40 attend for a week in the middle of July. The food is awesome; it is servered family style with a wide variety of meals including ribs on friday. Every day after lunch we have the option to attend summer camp games. There are several two-man tents and 2 cabins per campsite. there are may merit badges we can take from First Aid to BMX. there is a pool party and the pool is open almost every day. there is much more avalable as well. Hope this helps you see what other summer camps are like.

Hey, William. Summer camp is great I highly recommend it. It’s really fun at my camp (Goose Pond Scout Reservation) we get to kiyak, canoe, small-boat sail, rowboat, zipline, and swim! For the food part we had breakfasts of things like pancakes, sausage, optional cereal, orange juice, french toast, and bacon. For lunches we would have wimpies, tacos, pizza, meatball subs! For dinner we had stuffed chicken, BBQ chicken, roast beef and I forget what else. Overall, Summer camp is AWESOME and I can’t wait till I go back with my troop in 3 weeks!
