That was cool
I was thinking this evening about how much I enjoyed the Scouts in Action illustrated strip that ran in “Boys’ Life” in the 1960s when I was a young man. I loved those true-life stories, and decided to search the web. These audio versions are great, and I’m glad that there’s still at least one illustrated panel to go along with the story. I’m glad to know that S.I.A. is still inspiring young scouts and anyone else who comes to visit the web site.
(A few months ago I was able to put out a small grass fire near the Berkeley, CA Amtrak station with the help of passersby before the fire department arrived. I felt GREAT about that small act, and I can only imagine how proud the scouts and their parents were about saving the baby from drowning.)
