That way, centrifugal force will push the lube into the pieces. Otherwise, the lube will just fly off the chain.

DO NOT BIKE WITHOUT TAPE AND A PUMP! also, if your handlebars or seat wont stay put no matter how hard you tighten the screws, use semi-permanent Thread-Lock to hold it.
