Folding flags for Special Forces

Kansas Boy Scout Devin Prock is a proud American who wants to join the military someday and already has a tremendous amount of respect for the American flag.

Collecting flags, folding them and sending them overseas to members of our Special Forces was a natural fit for a service project.

“They’re risking their lives to keep us free,” the 15-year-old told a local TV station. “I feel that is the best job one could have.”

This project was done as an Eagle Scout Project. The flags were provided through Pocket Flag Project. He set up a funding website to raise the required money to purchase all of the supplies and then set up a work day at his high school. PFP requires that a scout fold a minimum of 900 flags if you are going to do this for an Eagle Project. He decided early on that he was going to send 3,000 flags. He shipped flags to units in 13 different countries total.
