Cub Scouts Say Thanks To Soldiers

Earlier this month, Cub Scouts from Omaha, Neb., Pack 327 in the Mid-America Council spent part of one Saturday at their local airport greeting soldiers who were arriving and departing for travel, and presenting them with American flags.

The experience only lasted five hours. The memories will last a lifetime.

One soldier passed through the airport with his mother, father and two younger sisters. The family members were moved to tears when two Cub Scouts presented the soldier with a flag and thanked him for his service.

Another soldier was so touched by the Cub Scouts’ gesture that he gave the Cub Scout a challenge coin in return.

The Cub Scouts still have some flags left to give away. They plan on returning to airport soon.
