I pretty much followed your instructions..the only thing I disagree with is riding the rail, I think you should try to make your car ride straight. The track it raced on was set up ...lets just say " not so straight" so the car couldn't find a rail to ride it was still one of the fastest cars just was moving with the not so straight rail. Causing the car to move back and forth on the track. Everything else, such as weight location and wheel/ axle angles worked well.
