Stuff We Like: GoPro Digital Hero 3

armcamera.jpgThis tiny, wrist-mounted 3-megapixel camera is one of the coolest things we’ve seen. The camera is only about the size of a box of Tic-Tacs, but it’s housed inside a waterproof shell that repels rain and snow and can handle depths to 100 feet! It straps on like a watch with a rubber-and-Velcro cuff that might feel a little bulky if you have a small wrist.

When you’re ready for a shot, just pop the latch and the camera tilts up to capture the action. It can record video, too. The Hero 3 comes with 64MB of internal memory — which is sort of puny — and can be boosted up with optional SD memory cards (a 2GB card could record nearly an hour of video). Even though the camera is tiny, the images and video are surprisingly clear.

With the Hero 3, it’s easier than ever for you and your buddies to make your own action sports videos and photos.
