Helping The Chimps

Ben Parks, a Life Scout from Troop 336 in Federal Way, Wash., is in the middle of an interesting Eagle project.

Ben is overseeing the construction of some climbing structures for the chimpanzees at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest in Cle Ellum, Wash. Ben and his friends from Troop 336 have already fought through 100-plus-degree temps to build some climbing structures. Next up, they’ll build a bridge connecting the structures so the chimps can go back and forth without touching the ground.

Read more about Ben’s project here and here.

Is your unit going on a great fishing trip? Or maybe you’re taking an awesome trek in the mountains or a cool dive under the sea? Whatever your adventure, Boys’ Life might want to tag along.
