Q: My ankles and soles of my feet get very sore when I walk for two miles. What can I do?

Foot-related problems, particularly blisters, are one of the most common reasons people seek medical care during wilderness outings. Consequently, anyone spending time outdoors should have some “walking knowledge” (pun intended!) of foot and blister care.
